@MonkeyBizProductions Thousands of years we’ve been here and nothing technology wise has changed? Where do you live? A cave? a thousand years ago people died from plague that is so now easily treated with pencilin and such. We had to use rocks to hammer things in! We had to walk EVERYWHERE unless we had a horse! Now we have automobiles and phones, and internet. So don’t go posting your comments when you have NO idea what your talking about. =)

As far as minutes, I haven't found a better deal than Net10. They have 300 minutes for $30, 600 minutes for $60.00…and so on. 10 cents a minutes. Your minutes roll over too.

Well I just recently went on a Cruise and found that while out at sea I had no service but once we got close to shore I had service and could make calls from my phone. I however went on Carnivals Mexican Riviera cruise so I can say for sure if you service will be the same, but I imagine it would work when you are close to land.

Sony Ericsson w610. 2 megapixel camera with light and auto focus. Walkman 2.0 player ( so you can see the album art as well as track info). Gr8 battery life. Memory Stick micro card ( Manufactuer says up to 4gb but you can even stick an 8gb in there and it will work happily). Bluetooth wiht A2DP (basicaly allowing you to use wireless bluetooth stereo headsets) and infra-red. I'm getting one this week, after two months of reading many cellphone reviews.

If you were to try to call Cingular to get a new phone due to damage to your phone, they won't replace the phone for free if there is water damage. The dot will change color if there is water damage – white means no damage, yellow means very little water damage, red means alot of water damage. Hope this helps.

Sure, 12 is old enought to get a cell phone…if it's monitered by your parents. They should either get you Cingular's firefly or Verizon's Meego, or whatever that's called. Unfortunately, 12 year old's aren't responsible enough for a fancy phone like a camera flip phone, and neither is a 10 year old. So I'd suggest the Firefly or Meego. You'll like either one.

If you want an actual keyboard the LG Versa might be good cause you can detach or reattach the keyboard. I would go with the LG Chocolate Touch just because it has a good screen size and performs more multimedia tasking than the Dare or the Versa. Hope this helps

@MonkeyBizProductions It has slowed down and become stagnant since the late eighties. The last 25 years. All the stuff you see in cellphones today is not new technology. Its just a advanced variation. They had touch screen PC monitors in the 90′s. I know because I used to play with them in sears. They had cellphones back in 86. Just the touch screens are on cellphones now. We are not as advanced as we like to think. It is all frivilous. No real advancements.

Its so great we have all these types of cellphones, yet we still drive cars that use internal combustion engines that are practically the same as in the first cars and we are still fighting over oil. Yes we certainly are highly advanced because of cellphones, BR players, Ipods, iphones. /sarcasm.
